Rahul Mehrotra

Principal of architecture firm RMA Architects (founded in 1990 as Rahul Mehrotra Associates) of Mumbai, India and is Professor of Urban Design and Planning and Chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) in Cambridge, Mass., USA.  He was also executive director of the Urban Design Research Institute (1994-2004), where he is now a trustee.


Abin Chaudhuri

Inspired by the ‘Sen House’ by Charles Correa in Kolkata, Abin’s journey started as a student of Architecture in 1993. As the principal of Abin Design Studio (founded in October 2005), Abin is a practicing architect in Kolkata. His studio works on projects of varying scales ranging from institutional and urban projects to private residences, installations and socially responsible design. His studio believes that architecture is a metaphor of the living world and aims to provide “a soul in the shell”.


Manish Chakraborty

Principal of conservation practice, Continuity founded in 2000, he is consultant to World Monuments Fund, National Museum of Denmark, Asian Development Bank and Archaeological Survey of India. He has authored books and publications and a visiting faculty to schools of architecture in India. Recipient of numerous awards for two decades of sustained conservation practice, his project won the Unesco Asia Pacific Heritage Award of Distinction in 2017.




Ambuja Neotia

Ambuja Neotia is one of the most prominent and respected corporate houses headquartered in Kolkata with its forte in real estate and recent forays into hospitality, healthcare and education. The company, under the stewardship of Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia (Padmashree) has been responsible for landmark projects in and around Kolkata including Correa’s only large project at Kolkata – Salt Lake City Center, the mall that went on to re-write several retail rules. In all its projects, Ambuja Neotia is deeply mindful of its environmental responsibility and creating spaces that offer a better and greener life.

Ashish Acharjee

Before graduating in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Acharjee had interned with Correa and later, joined him as a Project architect and worked on some of his landmark projects – Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, MRF Head Quarters, Madras, Cavelossim Beach Resort, Goa, etc. Presently Acharjee practices in Kolkata and divides his time between practice, research and activism.




Rukmini Mukherjee

Currently practicing in Kolkata, Rukmini is a Senior Architect in Abin Design Studio, and a postgraduate in Urban Design from Jadavpur University. She believes growth in architectural learning and practice go hand in hand and has several research publications in national and international journals.
